Greetings ISARRA members and friends,

It is with great enthusiasm that I officially announce the ISARRA 2026 conference, which will take place in Daytona Beach, FL, at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, from the evening of August 24 through the afternoon of August 28, and an associated Flight Week just up the coast at Marineland from August 30 through September 3. On the conference website, linked below, you can find additional details regarding both the conference, the excursion to the Kennedy Space Center between the conference and Flight Week, and emerging details on the Intercomparison Day and Flight Week. The ability to officially register will be forthcoming soon. However, you can now submit your abstract(s) through the conference website. Please note the following important items:
  • A call for abstracts is now open and closes on Monday, April 24, 2026. Acceptance notifications will be sent on Friday, May 18, 2026.
  • Please note that there may be limited availability at hotels due to the beginning of the fall semester (August 24) and the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at the Daytona International Speedway (August 28). Please book early!!!
  • If you're looking for a specific lodging suggestion from the list provided, I might suggest The Daytona Autograph Collection.
  • Please heed our advisory on campus parking. With enough demand and coordination, The Daytona Autograph Collection hotel has provided transport to campus in the past.
  • This year's Flight Week will investigate variability in the lower atmosphere associated with land–sea and land–river breeze circulations, as well as assess how these processes influence the timing, location, and evolution of convective initiation along the coast. Specific lodging suggestions for Flight Week will be forthcoming.

Finally, please help us spread the word by sharing this announcement with colleagues and professional associations who may also benefit.

Looking forward to a wonderful conference with all of you this August!

Best,

Kevin
