We want to quickly remind you that we're two weeks into the call for self-nominations to fill upcoming openings on the FPAW Steering Committee. There are five available three-year (October 2024 - September 2027) positions up for your consideration: two representing the Research, Engineering and Development (RED) and Academia community, and one each representing the User, Provider and Regulator communities.
You might be wondering about nominating someone else. We certainly encourage you to identify excellent FPAW SC candidates, but we will ultimately need them to agree with your assessment and go through the simple self-nomination process. What is that simple process, you ask? Well, it consists of sending an email to Matthias (msteiner@ucar.edu) and me (mfronzak@mitre.org) that contains (1) a 1-2 paragraph expression of interest in serving on the FPAW SC, including information about why you should be selected, (2) the constituency (Providers, RED and Academia, Regulators, Users) that you propose to represent, and (3) a current CV/resume. That’s it!
